Equality & Diversity at Nationwide
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at Nationwide
We're a modern mutual that recognises and rewards our diverse and talented employees by offering them the best opportunities to progress at Nationwide. We're proud of our commitment to protecting the rights of all employees who are able to ‘bring their whole self to work’ without fear of harassment, discrimination or victimisation.
Our challenge is to continue meeting the changing and often different needs of our employees and members. We do this by creating environments where diversity is valued, and employees are encouraged to 'bring their whole self' to work.
Real Nationwide employees
Our careers site only features employees who've worked at Nationwide- you can read some of their stories in our employee blog.
We also work closely with diversity jobs to help raise awareness of Nationwide as an equal opportunities employer.
Diversity and employee networks
We demonstrate our commitment to diversity and inclusion by endorsing and leveraging the power of Employee Network Groups (ENGs).
ENG’s are groups of employees who share similar characteristics or life experiences and want to use those similarities to create cross-functional workplace connections, provide professional development and advance business initiatives.
Nationwide's ENG’s were started in 2012 and now include employees all across the UK. Senior leaders actively demonstrate visible commitment to diversity and inclusion by serving as key sponsors to our ENGs and provide support, guidance and resources.
What employee Networks are there at Nationwide?
At present we have the following ENG's at Nationwide; Disability Network, Ethnicity Network, Faith and Belief Network, Gender (Womens) Network, Sexual Orientation Network, Working Carers Network, and Veterans and Reservist Community.
