Why bother having a diversity week?

Diversity week at Nationwide

The 27th February – 3rd March is Diversity Week at Nationwide, and we’ll be running a range of interactive ED&I (equality, diversity and inclusion) events. Here we explain why we choose to have a week dedicated to getting our people involved in diversity.

Who is Diversity Week for at Nationwide?

At Nationwide we believe that all our people have a part to play in ensuring we create an inclusive and welcoming place to work and do business. That means encouraging people to get involved in the activities and events that we’ve got planned, and linking what we’re doing to other important dates in the ED&I calendar, like LGBT History Month

“ It’s so important for us to educate, inform and inspire our people about diversity and inclusion. This week of activity, with motivational speakers like John Amaechi OBE, Jo Swinson and Sandra Kerr OBE talking about key equality issues, is just one way in which we’re helping everyone to understand their role in making Nationwide an even more open, fair and inclusive place to work. ”

Amanda Head of Culture & Inclusion
