For the 4th year running, our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) network, have combined with other diversity networks across the business to represent us at the pride parades all over the UK!
A chance to be yourself
Our LGBT@Nationwide network was formed to create a platform for employees to engage with the Society on anything relating to LGBT issues. It’s one our many employee networks group that are essential to our Diversity & Inclusion agenda.
At Nationwide, we want to be the world’s largest building society. We want to achieve this by creating an environment where everyone (regardless of their age, disability, sex, race, religion or beliefs, or sexual orientation) is recognised, engaged and included in every way possible.
As a Society, we're proud that our employees are supporting causes that celebrate individuality and diversity. This goes hand in hand with our commitment to encouraging our employees to ‘bring their whole self to work’ without fear of harassment, discrimination or victimisation.
Pride parades celebrate the LGBT community’s culture and pride. The events happen in most major cities and towns across the UK and this year LGBT@Nationwide are branching out a bit further than their usual Swindon and London Pride entries. They’re taking part in a few more walking groups and extending their reach to other great locations.
“ Pride parades are a great opportunity for us to show how proud we are of working for Nationwide. We want to be able to show that Nationwide is a great place to work if you’re a member of the LGBT+ community or an ally. ”
